Everyone has the right to feel safe while taking part in sport and physical activity. We believe that no one, whether a child, young person or adult, should experience or be at risk of experiencing any form of abuse or neglect. We are dedicated to creating a culture of zero-tolerance within CIMSPA and the sector, where the various forms of abuse and neglect are understood, and where potential or actual issues are proactively identified and addressed.
Our Safeguarding Policies and Procedures, which can be accessed below, demonstrate our commitment to safeguarding and outline the actions to take if you have any concerns.
Who can CIMSPA respond to concerns about?
CIMSPA can respond to concerns about CIMSPA People (including employees, trustees and other volunteers), CIMSPA members and CIMSPA partners.
Reporting a concern
It is everyone’s responsibility to report safeguarding concerns.
If someone is in immediate danger or needs medical attention, or a serious crime is in progress or has been committed, dial 999.
If you have any safeguarding concerns regarding any CIMSPA People, CIMSPA members or CIMSPA partners, please report your concerns using our online form.
You may find it useful to refer to our Procedures documents, which explain how to report safeguarding concerns, and what will happen after a concern is reported.
