Creating meaningful connections at active-net

Making conversations matter

Now in its twelfth year, active-net continues to be one of the UK’s leading networking events for physical activity, health and leisure professionals. With operators from across the sector receiving complimentary attendance, it is a unique opportunity create meaningful connections. Alongside keynote panel discussions and insight-led seminars, every attendee will receive a schedule of one-to-one meetings with operators or supplier partners specifically matched with them.

This year’s national event, held at Eastwood Hall, Nottingham on 26 & 27 March features the theme ‘mindset to momentum – driving behaviour change for wellbeing’. The keynote panel and group speaker sessions feature talks from sector leaders on wellbeing services and policy and data driven decision, with CIMSPA speaking alongside the likes of ukactive and Moving Communities.

Following the formal speaker-led sessions, the schedule of 20-minute one-to-one conversations kicks off, where guests will attend at least 14 pre-arranged meetings. This system allows for the facilitation of meaningful discussions with individuals who have a vested interest in the respective stakeholder. David Monkhouse, Director at Active Insight who power active-net explains “There’s a shared need for that conversation to start… we’re there to help people start having conversations and it’s a bit of a one stop shop.”
