Focusing on The Employment Rights Act 2025, this session will give you a clear, practical overview of what’s changing, when reforms take effect, and what actions employers and employees should take to prepare for the transition – helping you stay ahead of one of the most important employment law shifts in decades.
29 April – 10:30-11:30
The Employment Rights Bill marks the biggest transformation of UK employment law since the 1990s, introducing wide ranging reforms aimed at strengthening worker protections and modernising rules for today’s labour market. It brings major updates affecting unfair dismissal, zero hours contracts, flexible working, sick pay, family leave and trade union rights.
Key changes rolling out in 2026 include day one eligibility for paternity and unpaid parental leave, statutory sick pay from the first day of absence and enhanced whistleblowing protections, alongside updates to redundancy processes and union regulations. These reforms will significantly impact how all organisations manage people, policies and compliance.
