In 2025, the CIMSPA Conference did more than fill a room. It created a shift in energy, confidence and direction across the sport and physical activity sector.
Delegates described it as “quite different to the usual sector events… really energising and just what we needed”. Others reflected on the sense of momentum, with one attendee saying: “I’ve been to a lot of conferences over the years, but this one stood out. It had purpose and momentum.”

The theme of Connecting the Dots returns for 2027. Far from being a repeat, this recognises that while huge strides have been made, the sector’s journey is far from complete.
There are still gaps between education and employment that need closing and opportunities to align workforce development with health priorities continue to build. There are still so many conversations that need to happen between organisations, employers and professionals who share the same ambition but don’t always share the same space.
Connecting the Dots 2027 will be that space.
As one previous delegate put it: “I made some great connections during the conference, and it felt like the right people were in the room because there was a strong feeling that we are making progress.”
